About ADU Craft Boston
We design, permit and build accessory dwelling units for homeowners in Boston and four neighboring communities. Licensed and insured.
What do we build?
Detached cottages, garage and carriage house conversions, additions and basement or attic units. We also handle design and permits, so one team carries the project from the first drawing to the certificate of occupancy.
Where do we work?
The City of Boston, Quincy, Newton, Somerville and Brookline. We work at your property and do not keep a walk-in office.
How do we work?
- Rules first. We confirm what your zoning allows before suggesting a design.
- Written, itemized quotes. Every part of the job has its own line and price.
- Straight answers. If a type will not work on your lot or within your budget, we say so early.
- Dated sources. Massachusetts ADU rules are still settling, so every rule on this site says when it was checked and where it came from.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. ADU Craft Boston is licensed and insured. Massachusetts uses a Construction Supervisor License and Home Improvement Contractor registration for this kind of work, and we provide our license and insurance details in writing with your quote.
